You Only Get One Chance to Make a First Impression

Welcome! I'm rather surprised its taken me this long to start blogging. I've always had a passion for writing. Its amazing how cathartic it can be to take every emotion and write it all down. 

Thanks to the influence from a dear friend and her new blog, I thought I'd give it a try. 

I guess its important when you start reading something so personal, you want to understand the author and their background. I'd like to start with the most important factual tidbit of my life. I am married to the most wonderful man. Its also important to note, I'm only 23. I feel that age is merely a number; some people you meet are 30 yet love to pretend their still  in college, others when in college, pretended to be adults. I of course, was the latter. 

I can still remember when I met Ryan, it was 4 years ago at John Carroll. He was two years older than me, off the market and extremely handsome. Needless to say it was a challenge but he was it for me. Its so funny, the whole debate between love at first site. I can't be sure if it was truly love or just infatuation, whatever that feeling was, I can't help but feel blessed that it happened to me. As I'm sure you'll come to hear more about our love and the way we met throughout this blog... 

We recently got married, this past September. Something I'm sure you'll also hear more about. 

I grew up in the suburbs of  good ol' Cleveland, Ohio. All of my family still resides there. I used to state that it was all of our family and friends, however as many of you know... once you move away you tend to lose touch with those important to you. You develop new friends, if your lucky. I've been extremely lucky since my move to Chicago. Ryan and I moved to Chicago August of 2009. Its been a wonderful experience. Chicago is beautiful, lively, and offers amenities Cleveland can only dream of. I never envisioned myself living here and now its hard to picture living anywhere else. Through work, I've made amazing friends. Friends I can't imagine living without. 

One of the most important little pieces of my life is a tiny little furball we call Lola. She is a two year old American Eskimo and quite possibly the sweetest, most adorable dog out there. Pictures to follow :) 

Throughout my 23 short years here, I've experienced many situations. I've lived fully. I've been up and very very down. I've seen many things. I've gotten to know some of the most incredible people. I am madly in love with a man that many can only dream of. I continue to look forward to what life has yet to throw my way. And now I look forward to sharing those experiences with you.
